Why Choose a Board and Train Program?

Imagine a training program where everything is taken care of for you—a true white-glove service for your dog. With our board and train program, your dog gets full-time, immersive training in a loving home environment. From manners and obedience to confidence-building and socialization, we handle it all while you enjoy peace of mind.

Think of it as a VIP experience for your dog: personalized attention, tons of training field trips, and lots of fun. Whether your dog needs help with reactivity, aggression, or everyday manners, this program delivers amazing results with zero hassle for you. Let us do the heavy lifting, so you can enjoy a well-behaved, happy dog!

Comprehensive Training

Unlike private lessons or day training, board and train programs are uniquely immersive. Your dog will live with the trainer in their home, experiencing a family environment, including exposure to other pets like cats, chickens, a parakeet, and personal dogs, as well as other client dogs. This gives us the chance to address challenges in a natural setting, such as:

  • Counter-surfing while cooking.

  • Door manners and thresholds.

  • Barking at delivery drivers.

  • Settling during family downtime.

  • Crate training.

  • Car rides.

  • Respecting trash cans, kitty litter, and unattended food.

We address issues as they naturally arise, making this training far more comprehensive than structured one-hour sessions or programs that take place in artificial settings.

Unmatched Time and Commitment

During a board and train, your dog is immersed in a 24/7 training environment that simply can’t be replicated at home. Here's what sets us apart:

  • Daily Adventures: Up to 10 different training locations a day, including parks, food carts, and stores.

  • Socialization and Exposure: Your dog gains confidence navigating the real world while socializing with other dogs.

  • Constant Supervision: Training opportunities are woven into every moment, from door manners to evening settle time.

This program is a full-time commitment for us, designed to help your dog make dramatic progress in a short time.

Results That Last

Reactive dogs often need 4 weeks to make real progress, while aggressive cases may require 5 weeks. Unlike private training, board and train includes all necessary owner training, ensuring you know how to maintain your dog’s success.

You’re not just paying for the training; you’re investing in a complete transformation for your dog and family. Our program is designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle, addressing both the big and small challenges of living with a dog.

Worried you won't know how to maintain your dog's training? Don't be - training for you is included!

Owner Training Week is the final week in a board and train where everything comes together! After weeks of immersive training, it’s time for you to step in and learn how to maintain and build on your dog’s progress. We’ll meet with you at least four times to ensure you feel confident and comfortable with your dog’s new skills. Here’s what you can expect:

1. Hands-On Demonstrations

We’ll begin each session by demonstrating the cues and behaviors your dog has mastered. You’ll observe as we handle your dog in real-life scenarios, showing exactly how to reinforce their good habits.

2. Guided Practice

Next, it’s your turn! We guide you step-by-step as you practice working with your dog. You’ll receive clear instructions, plenty of positive feedback, and all the encouragement you need to succeed.

3. Real-World Training Locations

We’ll visit several locations together, such as parks, stores, or busy public spaces, so you can practice cues in different environments. This builds your confidence while helping your dog generalize their training in real-world situations.

4. Personalized Homework Plan

At the end of Owner Training Week, we’ll provide you with a list of cues, exercises, and routines to continue at home. This plan helps ensure your dog’s new skills stay sharp and consistent in your daily life.

Why It Matters

Owner Training Week isn’t just about teaching cues—it’s about creating a strong working relationship and bond between you and your dog. By the end of the week, you’ll feel empowered, prepared, and excited to enjoy life with a well-behaved dog by your side.
